Our upholstery services

Vehicle seat upholstery is one of our licensed activities. We work on front and rear seats, and we can re-cover them completely or repair only the damaged parts, such as the driver's seat bolster that wears from getting in and out every day.

  • Full seat upholstery in leather or synthetic leather
  • Repair of cracked or torn sections
  • Custom stitching: diamond, lines, contrast thread
  • Interior colour change, for example black to tan
  • Upholstery for large family cars with three rows of seats

Choosing the leather, colour and design

Before any work starts, we show you the leather samples and colours we have and explain the difference between genuine and synthetic leather in feel, durability and price. Good synthetic leather copes with heat and daily cleaning, which makes it a practical choice for family cars.

You choose the design: diamond stitching like luxury cars, straight lines, or a simple look with a contrast thread. If you have a photo of a design you like, send it to us.

How we re-upholster your seats

  1. Old cracked car seat on a workbench

    Step 1

    Remove and inspect

The seat is taken out of the car and the leather, foam and frame are checked.

  2. Rolls of black, tan and red leather next to a sewing machine

    Step 2

    Choose the leather

You pick the leather type and colour from our samples.

  3. Seat on a bench, half covered in new black diamond-stitched leather

    Step 3

    Cut and stitch

The leather is cut and stitched to your design, and the foam is renewed if needed.

  4. Rear bench seat in new tan leather with neat stitching

    Step 4

    Refit and hand over

The seats go back in the car and we check the look and stitching with you.

What decides the price of upholstery

Upholstery prices vary a lot, so we quote once we know the details. The price depends on the number of seats (fronts only or the whole car), the type of leather, how complex the design and stitching are, and whether the foam under the leather needs renewing.

Send photos of your current seats and your car model on WhatsApp, tell us the colour and design you have in mind, and we will reply with a price.

Upholstery for the Abu Dhabi climate

A car parked in the summer sun gets extremely hot inside, and that heat is what wears out leather and stitching the most. We use thread and leather that cope with heat, and we recommend pairing new upholstery with heat-rejection tint so it lasts longer.

Re-upholstery or seat covers?

Seat covers and re-upholstery are often confused, but they are very different. Seat covers slip over the original seats. They are quick to fit, cost less and can be removed later, which makes them a good choice for protecting new seats or for a leased car. But they never fit as tightly as the original, and they can move and wrinkle with use.

Re-upholstery replaces the material on the seat itself. The old leather or fabric comes off, the foam is checked and renewed if needed, and new leather is cut, stitched and fitted to the seat frame. The result looks and feels like a factory seat, and you can change the colour and design completely. It costs more and takes longer, but it lasts far longer than a cover.

Our advice is simple. If your seats are in good condition and you just want to protect them, covers are enough. If your seats are cracked, torn or sagging, or you want a different look altogether, re-upholstery is the right choice. Send us photos of your seats and we will tell you honestly which one your car needs.

Caring for your seats after upholstery

  • Use a windscreen sunshade when parked in the sun
  • Clean leather with a damp cloth and a leather cleaner
  • Condition genuine leather every few months so it does not dry out
  • Avoid sitting with sharp objects in your back pockets

Frequently asked questions

How long does seat upholstery take?

It depends on the number of seats and the design. We give you the expected time once the details are agreed.

Can you repair just part of a seat?

Yes. We can replace only the cracked or torn section, such as the driver's bolster, in a colour close to the original.

What is the difference between genuine and synthetic leather?

Genuine leather is softer and costs more, and needs more care. Good synthetic leather handles heat and daily cleaning and costs less, which suits family cars.

Does upholstery affect seat airbags?

For cars with side airbags in the seats, we keep the airbag seam in the right place when stitching. Tell us your car model and we will explain.

Can you change the whole interior colour?

Yes. We can change the seat colour and suggest colours that work with your dashboard and door panels.

What about heated or cooled seats?

Tell us if your seats are heated, cooled or have sensors, so we handle them correctly when removing and re-covering them.
